Job description, responsibilities and duties

​As a Chief Accountant you will be responsible for overseeing Volvo & Renault Trucks commercial accounting records and their accuracy within a legal entity through your team. This role is based at our office located in Kyiv, Ukraine. Hybrid working schedule (remote/office work) could be considered.

Main responsibilities will include:

• To ensure completion of all statutory and compliance reporting for the legal entity in accordance with Ukrainian legislation.
• To deliver complete monthly financial statements for the legal entity in the consolidation system.
• Drive control and monitoring of all relevant accounting processes and operations.
• Work closely with the business.
• Strong leadership and effective cooperation within accountant team.
• Cooperate with Ukrainian legal authorities.
• Coordinate and facilitate audits for the legal entity.
• Constant improvement and digitalization of accountant work flows and operations.
• Support business functions and stakeholders  in delivering accounting and financial advice as needed.
• Be a professional business partner for internal and external stakeholders.

University education (Master's degree)
Educational Specialization: Finance
Language skills
Ukrainian - Proficiency (C2) and English - Proficiency (C2)

Driving licence: B

Number of years of experience: 5

Personality requirements and skills

• We are looking for an experienced Accountant Leader with perfect technical knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP with equivalent qualification and solid leadership background.
• We’d  also willingly consider the candidates who are ready to make the next career step, currently occupying the positions like Deputy Chief Accountant, Corporate reporting Lead, Accountant team leader etc., having the knowledge, motivation for professional & personal development opportunity to join our team at the position of Chief Accountant.
• A brilliant team player with strong leadership and communication skills, who has a willing to learn, develop and contribute quickly to the team!
• Fluent English & Ukrainian written and spoken. 
• Experienced user of 1C, Medoc.
• Experience in the project of SAP implementation will be an advantage.
